Reading and Downloading Manga

Okay.

Lets do this.

Manga. Yup, that's the topic the on mind. For those that love and/or appreciate manga and anime like myself, you know that there are ways to watch and read them on the internet as well as download them. For many, they don't think about buying them because of being able to download them or look at them on the internet.

This does not make the manga-kas happy at all. Essentially, it pisses them off, especially when they get fan letters that admit to that and people say that they are huge fans of the series even though they don't put no money towards buying. If you care about what else is being said in detail, please refer to this link. The best way to understand is to get the details of what is going on.

Now, I understand reading, watching, and downloading anime and manga completely. I do it myself because money is something I have flowing out of my pocket. The difference, however, between me and the people that download or whatever is that I have every intention of buying what I get when I get the money. I hate reading manga online or downloading it onto the computer or whatever. It takes up space and/or you have to have internet access to get to it. Plus, it is not the same as actually having it in my hands and being able to to turn those beautifully illustrated pages. I HATE reading it online or on the computer.

The same goes for anime. I HATE watching it online or downloading it because it takes up space on the computer and I have to have internet access to watch it if it's online over and over again. The process is a pain no matter how you look at it. Watching the anime on the computer is not the same as watching it on a big screen TV and being able to say you own the lovely DVD of the anime that you fell in love with. It's just not the same at all!

Most of the time when I read manga online it's because I read the first volume that I own and I didn't have the money to buy the others and I want to know what happens. So I read it online to know what happens. Though, as I've said already, it is not the same as holding it in my hand to read it. If i don't like the first chapter that I read of manga that I have never touched before then I know not to buy it.

Even though it is the time when computers are more popular than handwritten or hand drawn works, I still prefer to have the feel of the book or DVD in my hands. Personally, I hate computers. The only thing they are useful for for me is to do the few things I need to do on the net. I would prefer to have the typewriter back personally. Call me old fashioned, I don't care. Technology is getting far too complicated and ridiculous anymore. That's just how I feel about it.

Sure, what I'm doing people would think I'm no better and I won't deny that. However, as soon as I have the money I plan on buying the manga that I have read or downloaded when I get the money, then once I do that everything that has been downloaded will be deleted because I would have no need for it. And you know what? I look forward to that day because then I would feel better towards the hardworking manga-kas that I adore the works of.

I understand why people are doing it.

I also understand why manga-kas are pissed about it.

My only request is that even if you download or read it online is to PLEASE BUY THE WORK THAT YOU READ ONLINE OR DOWNLOAD AND THEN DELETE WHAT YOU DOWNLOAD! I want the industry to keep going, that's why I'm asking this of you. If you don't want to spend the money to get the anime or manga then, to me, you are not that much of a fan.
